Miss Texas USA - Brooke Daniels

Brooke Daniels, Miss Harris County, was crowned Miss Texas USA at the pageant in Laredo on Sunday night.
Daniels was one of three contestants from the Houston area to make it into the final five.
Miss Houston, Elise Horner, was first runner-up.
Also a finalist was was Miss Montgomery County, Taylor Britton.
Winning the People's Choice Award, chosen by vote of TV viewers, was Miss Bayou City, Lauren Sapaugh.

Daniels has big shoes to fill. Last year's winner, Crystle Stewart of Missouri City, went on to become Miss USA and will compete in the Miss Universe pageant next month in Vietnam.

2009 Miss Texas USA: Brooke Daniels (aka Miss Harris County)

Yesterday saw the 2008 Miss Texas Teen Lauren Guzman crown someone to take her place in 2009 and that person is the stunning Miss Harris County, also known as Brooke Daniels. At the pageant in Laredo Entertainment Center, Miss Texas USA received her crown and showed the best of Texas.

Brooke Daniels came from the Houston area and was one of three contestants in that area to make it to the final five. The first runner-up place went to Elise Horner, Miss Houston and another finalist was Taylor Britton, Montgomery County.

The People’s Choice Award went to Lauren Sapaugh, Miss Bayou City. This result was decided by a television vote and the views choice ended up not being the winner. 2009 will not be an easy year for Brooke Daniels as she will be compared to 2008’s Miss Texas.

The big problem there is last years Miss Texas was Crystle Stewart of Missouri City and she went on to become Miss USA. So it looks like this years Miss Texas has some big boots to fill with that kind of job ahead of her.

Crystle Stewart will now compete in Vietnam next month for the title of Miss Universe pageant, how proud will the people of Texas be to see Crystle Stewart become of Miss Universe?

EURO 2008 was packed full of more twists and turns than a Hollywood blockbuster.

The tournament has lit up Austria and Switzerland this summer, ending with last night's final between Germany and Spain.

No10: Cesc Fabregas Although the midfielder was mainly deployed as a substitute by Spain, his impact was crucial. Complementing the equally impressive Xavi and Andreas Iniesta, Fabregas demonstrated why he is already a world-class player at just 21. The Arsenal star's performance in the semi-final win over Russia was critical to their progress.

No9: Wesley Sneijder Holland were glowing in the group stages and Sneijder was at the heart of their stunning performances. The midfielder finished off one of the goals of the tournament against Italy before topping that with a rasping strike against France. The Real Madrid star was dynamic as the Dutch almost rediscovered Total Football.

No8: Gianluigi Buffon Italy were dumped out on penalties by Spain but they were set for an early exit in the group stages against Romania. Adrian Mutu had a glorious chance to put the underdogs through but Buffon denied his spot-kick with a superb stop. The keeper made a string of brilliant saves until his country's exit.

No7: Lukas Podolski Despite starting with Miroslav Klose and Mario Gomez up front for the group games, it was Podolski who stole the headlines early on for Germany. The Bayern Munich star started slotted home three goals to guide his country out of Group A and was constantly the most dangerous frontman for the finalists./TD>

No6: Semi Senturk This man epitomised Turkey’s never-say-die attitude. After getting off the mark in the key group win over Switzerland, Senturk popped up beyond the 120th minute to take Croatia to a shock penalty shootout defeat in the last eight. The striker then repeated the trick against Germany before their last-gasp elimination.

No5: Fernando Torres The Spanish star worked his socks off during the tournament and can take much of the credit for David Villa's scintillating form. The Liverpool striker was a constant threat for the eventual winners with his power and pace, as well as scoring the final devastating decider. Now needs a good holiday.

No4: Andrei Arshavin The suspended playmaker only made his tournament debut in the crunch final group game against Sweden but he soon brought Russia to life. Arshavin's penetrating dribbles, incisive passing and eye for goal have Spanish giants Barcelona salivating. But is his ego worth accommodating?

No3: Michael Ballack The German skipper was the inspiration behind his side's journey to the final. The Chelsea midfielder scored a stunning free-kick against Austria before adding a vital header in the last eight against Portugal. But it was Ballack's leadership and dominance that stood out throughout.

No2: Marcos Senna The unsung hero of the Spanish set-up. As his team-mates grabbed the headlines, Senna quietly ran the show for the winners. The Villarreal veteran was vital in breaking up opposition attacks, as well as triggering forward forays for his country. Inches away from a deserved goal in the final.

No1: David Villa

The Spain hotshot finished as the competition's top scorer despite sitting out of last night's final through injury. Villa started his tournament with a flourish with a hat-trick against the Russians before scoring a neat winner against Sweden. Expect a scrap for the Valencia star after proving himself as one of Europe's finest finishers.

Verne Troyer - Judge halts release of Verne Troyer s*x tape

Actor Verne Troyer wants a federal judge's help in getting back a sex tape he says was stolen and portions of which were widely broadcast by celebrity gossip site TMZ.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A 25-second snippet of video showing Verne Troyer and a former girlfriend Renae Schrider having sex that was available online over the past couple of days is all the world will see of the tape — for now.

A federal judge on Friday granted a temporary restraining order requested by Troyer's attorneys that prevents porn distributors from taking orders for the full-length video, and prevents TMZ from broadcasting any more clips.

The celebrity Web site posted the short segment on its site on Wednesday; Troyer sued the site and porn distributors on Thursday for $20 million in damages.

U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez wrote that Troyer's motion "demonstrated that he will suffer irreparable harm to his reputation" if the tape is distributed. It barred further broadcasting of the tape, which Troyer's attorney, Tracy Rane, interpreted as meaning that TMZ has to remove the video from its site.

TMZ removed the snippet of the tape by late Friday afternoon, instead redirecting Web viewers to its homepage. Another post describing the lawsuit remained active Friday.

Troyer, who is most famous for his role as "Mini Me" in two of the "Austin Powers" movies, claims the sex tape he made with a former girlfriend was stolen from his home some months ago.

TMZ, which did not return telephone messages left by The Associated Press on Friday, reported that the video could fetch $100,000 from a porn distributor. SugarDVD wrote in a statement on its Web site that hoped to reach a deal with Troyer to distribute the full, 50-minute version.

Gutierrez also indicated in his ruling that he may be inclined to issue a more forceful preliminary injunction in the case unless TMZ and other parties demonstrate why it should be released.

Troyer's suit claims release of an excerpt of the tape was an invasion of privacy and copyright infringement. He is also seeking the return of all copies of the video.

His suit claims he made the tape with his former girlfriend and never intended it to be shown publicly.

The lawsuit included a pair of letters e-mailed to TMZ and SugarDVD telling both entities to remove mentions of the tape from their Web sites and halt any further plans to distribute it.

Verne Troyer Scandal Expected Shortly

Back in the Day-Glo parachute pants innocence of the 1980’s, something as profligate and titillatingly licentious as a publicly released homemade sex tape could be horribly damming to a celebrity. Even after appearing in a nude, pelvic thrust sex scene with Demi Moore in the 1986 film “About Last Night”, it was still a scandalous revelation and a significant hurtle to actor Rob Lowe’s career two years later, when a videotaped ménage-a-trois with two female fans was put into circulation.

Following the ‘big bang’ of celebrity sex tapes, however, in which Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee unwittingly planted the seeds of social acceptance in the fertile internet soil of a dawning information age, a new universe was created in which sex tapes would not only be touted by celebrities (i.e. Justin “Screech” Diamond) but the very means by which the phenomenon of celebrity could be created (i.e. Kim Kardashian).

Reaching critical mass and jumping the shark as of yesterday, it was announced the latest big-name celebrity appearing in a priced-to-sell DVD will be none other than 2-foot 8-inch “Austin Powers” co-star Verne Troyer.

The Jim Carrey of little people actors, Troyer can be seen in a teaser for the upcoming DVD posted on website TMZ, kissing his former live-in girlfriend, 22 year-old Ranae Shrider, in the buff, before creepily slipping his tongue into the aspiring model’s mouth. According to the official story, the tape was stolen from the couple’s apartment, perhaps by the same burglar responsible for thieving the Pam and Tommy video.

Celebrity sex-tape broker Kevin Blatt, the man behind Paris Hilton’s hugely successful “One Night in Paris”, is reportedly brokering the deal for SugarDVD, and offering $100,000 for exclusive distribution rights.

No word yet, as of Thursday evening, on the status of Rana Shrider’s reality series, no-doubt already in the works.

Ranae Shrider Biography

Ranae Shrider is 22 years old and 5′9″ tall. She has brown eyes and black hair. She and Vern Troyer lived together for about six months and supposedly even considered marriage before breaking up. Apparently shortly before their breakup, they decided to film one of their sexual escapades in their New York apartment. Perhaps it will make them a little money. Unfortunately for them, money can’t buy class.

It looks like the hookup with Verne didn’t do Ranae Shrider much good. There is very little information available about her. Has she landed any modeling jobs? Acting, perhaps? Looks like her only claim to fame is doing the dirty with Verne Troyer.

Brooke Ward - Farmer Wants A Wife Winner

So how did it all end? Not when the fat lady sang (maybe she did) but Farmer Matt wanted a bride from Orange County.

Brooke Ward, a Texan who has lived briefly in Huntington Beach, won the competition on “Farmer Wants a Wife”.

Early in the show, Ward, emerged as a favorite of Farmer Matt. She had that Texas country accent, wore boots, and busted her tail competing in challenges around the farm, like catching chickens, picking corn and washing hogs.

But Farmer Matt also took a liking to Christa from New York City, who emerged as the bad girl on the show once Orange County’s own chick, Josie Goldberg, got the boot in the second episode of the reality show.

In the finale, Farmer Matt sent Brooke and Christa on a farm wife’s scavenger hunt – hunting down truck parts, the fish market, and most disgustingly (poor Christa!) fetching a frozen deer head from Farmer Matt’s freezer to the taxidermist.

Turns out Matt Neustadt didn’t just want a wife. He wanted Brooke to be that wife. On last night’s season finale of Farmer Wants a Wife, Matt remained true to his country form when he had a crop duster fly over the farm with a sign announcing the winner. Once Christa made her gracious exit, Matt and Brooke were covered in confetti and then proceeded to drive off into the sunset on a tractor. So, do you think this couple has staying power?

Matt Neustadt, the farmer in The Farmer Wants A Wife, has finally chosen his wife. Brooke Ward (from Texas) and Christa (from New York) were the final two women left.

Matt Neustadt went on solo dates with the women. He made his decision. The announcement was done in a dramatic way. A crop duster flew in the sky and made a message to write the name of the winner. The words were: “Matt Loves Brooke.”

The Bachelorette - DeAnna Pappas in a bikini ???

DeAnna Pappas, a 25-year-old realtor from Newnan, GA, was a former contestant on The Bachelor season 11. Bachelor Brad Womack was about to propose to her, but rejected on the season finale.

After her heartbreak on The Bachelor, ABC selected DeAnna as their newest Bachlorette on the fourth season of the show.

DeAnna got herself a new chance as 25 eligible men from across the country have assembled to win her heart.

I just hope DeAnna finds true happiness this time around. There’s too much heartbreak in the reality TV world. To date, only one Bachelorette Trista Rehn has married the man she chose- Ryan Sutter.

DeAnna Pappas is this season's The Bachelorette and seeing her in a bikini almost makes me consider putting on a tux and competing for her hand in marriage. I mean, what do those other guys have besides looks, money and non-misogynistic world views? That's for suckers.

I'm willing to commit myself to one vagina in defiance of logic and nature for 40+ secretly unhappy, but it's pretty much written on our faces especially after that time I got the clap from a stripper, years. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm an old romantic.

This week on the Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas dumped her favorite dude.

This week on the Bachelorette, what we have all been dreaming about has happened: a shift in power. For once on this show, a rejectee successfully gained the emotional advantage over the rejecter. Graham Bunn perfected the art of the mind fuck by flip-flopping between affection and aloofness in a way that had DeAnna's pretty little Southern head spinning. It was a fun game to watch.
