Bigfoot Evidence Delayed ???

One thing is for sure: people just love fairy tales and myths, and when something like the capturing of Bigfoot hits the newspapers, people just go crazy. For a good businessman, it is easy to see the financial potential in such a popular subject and when two such men put their minds together, the outcome of such a publicity stunt is taken to whole new level.

Matt Whitton, a retired Clayton County police officer and Rick Dyer, a tow truck operator, both running the Bigfoottracker.com Web site, claim to be the first people ever to have actually caught a Bigfoot; dead, but non the less a Bigfoot. They immediately alerted the media, telling everyone about their trip in the woods of northern Georgia, where the corpse was found.

"Everyone who has talked down to us is going to eat their words," predicted Matt Whitton a few days back.

The two explained that the body is kept inside a freezer in order to make sure that its state will not get worse and they even released a photo of it, many calling it a bad Halloween costume, a gorilla or a woolen rug. The official presentation has been delayed several times, with a series of explanations such as the extended time needed until the DNA results come in, then the necessity of a second round of DNA tests and now, apparently, they must wait for the arrival of two scientists from Russia.

The Web site offers details about the upcoming tests, which will be conducted by "a team of scientists including a molecular biologist, an anthropologist, a paleontologist and other scientists." The tests will demand at least two months of analysis and will take place at an undisclosed location, in order to make sure that the findings will be secure and that there will be no intrusions.

Even though the story seems to be far from the real deal, there are still some people who confirm it. One of them, and maybe not the most believable of the bunch, is Mr. Tom Biscardi, a well known Bigfoot hunter and owner of the Web site Searchingforbigfoot.com. He is linked to a series of Bigfoot hoaxes, as he claimed on several occasions to soon disclose real proof about Bigfoot’s existence. Regarding the present situation, he talked to the media about the Bigfoot’s body, which he actually got to see.

"They showed me the body. They took me to the area where they found it - -- it took a day and a half to get there. I got to be honest, when I first saw it I hated to see it in that state it was in. I wanted to capture one so the world could see it walking. I guess this is the next best thing for the time being," said Biscardi.

The trouble with such a marketing strategy is that it gets old really quickly and if this is indeed nothing more than a joke, they will soon run out of “proof” and the people will grow tired of the charade, turning their heads to the next big story.
